Hi Doctor, My Wife Is Having Fever Since Saturday (13th

Question: Hi Doctor,
My wife is having fever since Saturday (13th July). The fever is in range of 99 to 100 degree F.
We are giving her Crocin advanced whenever she is having fever. In addition to fever, she is having cough as well. She is taking Chest and cold tablet once a day for the cold.
Today is 4th day for fever and the situation is same. Today morning she was having 99 degree F fever along with cough. Please suggest what shall we do?

Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' forum.

I have gone through your query. It looks like a viral infection. Usually it lasts 3 to 5 days. I would suggest you to continue the medicines you are taking and wait another day. If it still persists you will have to get a blood test and blood culture.

There is nothing to worry, take tab. dolo 650 mg as and when required for fever and tab. Sinarest twice daily for cold and fever. Drink lots of water and adequate rest.
