Question: Hi Doctor,
Our 2.6 year old boy has been playing in water a lot these days and developed trench foot(not sure if I am using the right word here). attaching images of his foot for your reference. Can you please suggest medication to get over this? Do suggest home remedies if you would not encourage us to use medicine for this case.

Thank you for your time

Brief Answer:
Looks like a fungal infection of the toes

Detailed Answer:
Hello, thank you for consulting here. Looks like a fungal infection of the toes.
I would suggest a combination of Clotrimazole + Betamethasone (Candid-B) ointment applied twice a day for 10 - 14 days.
But this is a prescription drug please.
If it is not better by this in 7 days then you need further investigations as to find out the specific fungus involved.
But 99% this should suffice.
Best regards - Dr Sumanth Amperayani
