Question: Hi Doctor, last year I noticed a curvature in my penis and shortening of my shaft during erection. There is not much pain, but I consulted my Dr. and he suggested Peyronie's Disease. This first occurred last fall so it has not been a year yet. Not sure how prevalent this is. Also, at times I feel like I have ED. I am 46 year old male and under stress and anxiety and my diet is not the best.

Do you know of any non invasive techniques that has success. Any suggestions? Can it get better?

Thanks for query.

Based on the facts that you have posted you seem to have noticed curvature of the penis on erection since last one year and your primary family physician has suspected it to be due to Peyronies Disease.

I shall be happy if you can post me more details to help me in making precise comments
1) Can you palpate hard nodule in shaft of your penis ?
2) Do you get pain in penis on erection ?
3) are you able to penetrate vagina during sexual intercourse?
4) Dis you sustain any injury to your penis?
5) Can you upload photograph of your penis after erection .

Peyronies disease is caused by formation of calcified plaque in Tunica Albugenia an sheath that envelops two corporeal bodies causing curvature of penis which can be detected and confirmed only by doing Ultrasound Scanning of Penis .

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get Ultrasound Scanning of the Penis done ..

Further treatment will be decided by him based on clinical findings,degree of curvature of penis and ultrasound Scanning report .

I am not sure what you mean?

2) Do you get pain in penis on erection ?

I don't notice much pain at all maybe a little. But I do stress a lot.

3) are you able to penetrate vagina during sexual intercourse?

I have had intercourse since this occurred.

4) Did you sustain any injury to your penis?

I am not sure, one night I noticed this. I do experience erections at night and sometimes I toss and turn a lot during my sleep and that might have caused damage. Also, I used to get regular deep tissue massages to help with my tights muscles due to stress. I am lying on my stomach so I am not sure. I notice I have erections at night periodically.

5)Can you upload photograph of your penis after erection .

I will try and upload photo. Are these secure sites.

Are there any remedies for this? Medications?

Nodule is felt as a hard mass like a small pea nut in shaft of the penis .

As regards your query about remedy ,it can be answered or commented only on going through report of Ultrasound Scanning of penis and looking at the curvature of your penis shown in photograph .

Answer: I do not notice any mass on shaft of penis.

Question: 3 whether you have difficulty in penetrating vagina during sex or not ?

Answer: I have not had sexual intercourse since this occurred. I don't feel pain though in general.

What are available options that do work for this. I understand you need more information.

Based on the facts that you have posted you do not seem to have Petronius Disease.

Get Ultrasound Scanning of Penis done and upload report along with photograph of your Penis to suggest treatment options .
