Question: Hi Dr Basak
Thank you for your response. I don't understand the nasal spray and here is why. I woke up today as in just now in San Francisco and my nose is completely clear and not stuffed, no fever and never had and my voice is still a little hoarse. I took cough medicine called " Delsym for 3 days " it wont let me upload a photo but its the " cough cold night time one and I feel a little weak. Throat though not 100%. Is it viral?Thanks.

Hii. If you are having allergic symptoms like sneezing, rhinorrhoea, post nasal drip, hawking sensation, then you can take saline nasal spray. Otherwise for short duration cough take betadine gargle, steam inhalation. Take antiallergic tablet allegra. No need to take too much cough syrup. It looks like it's viral infection. No need for antibiotic. Take more fluids. Please review if you have any queries.
