Hi Dr! I Am So Anxious Right Now. I Have

Question: Hi Dr! I am so anxious right now. I have strong family history of leukemia including my brother, mother, and sister. I just did my bloodwork and my CBC is fine, thank goodness! However the CBC was done without differential so I do not have all the specifics on the white blood cells. I am going to do that test soon. But if my WBC count was fine, then I should be OK right? Also my albumin was 5.3 and my a/g ratio was 2.9. and when I researched that online, I read it could be associated with leukemia. Now all of this worries me because I have been feeling weak on and off for several months. Otherwise I am healthy. Please help as soon as you can and thank you so much for your help!
Brief Answer:
General physical examination + CBC with DLC,PBS & ESR required.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on Ask A Doctor forum.
With a history of leukemia is family, I suggest you to get a general physical examination to look for any lump, enlarged lymph node or any enlarged organ.
Complete blood count should be accompanied by differential count (DLC), peripheral blood smear (PBS) examination and ESR.
Albumin level of 5.3 g/dL and albumin:globulin ratio of 2.9 is within normal range.
Kindly, post the above mentioned investigations and pot for interpretation.
In the meanwhile, you can relax since none of the findings suggest leukemia.
Thanks and take care
