Hi Dr: I Attached A Pic Of What Appears To
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: Hi Dr: I attached a pic of what appears to be a lump near my arm pit. I just had a CT scan with contract of the abdomen and pelvis. It was a full body to check for something completely unrelated and nothing showed up. My question would be could that area just be a muscle? I do not feel it when the arm is relaxed or partially raised. The arm has to be fully extended in order for me to feel it. I have a doctors appointment in July and wondering if it should be moved closer?
Please let me know your opinion or if you have any questions.
Thanks, XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Likely to be a wart.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have seen the attached images. The small lump in the armpit that you have noticed is likely to be a small wart. This is not likely to be a worrisome finding. Topical application of sialic acid will help in removing it.
The investigations that you had- CT and MRI of abdomen will not show this lump. This does not seem to be a worrisome finding.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.

Could it be a wart even though it feels hard? Thanks.
Brief Answer:
Can be a swollen node.
Detailed Answer:
If it is a deep seated lump that is hard then it can be a swollen lymph node.
Regards.
