Question: Hi Dr.

I noticed several days ago that I am seeing like dots floating or moving with my sight. It never interferes with my vision nor cause a problem in the vision. But something there . Like white or black dots moving . I don't have pain even. But it is bothering me. Because of current situation of COVID, I can't do any physical exams now or go to doctor. Also I would like to let you know that I am a professor at University and spend a lot of time sitting on pc or using XXXXXXX phone especially now a days because of electronic education.

Any risk in my situation?

Thanks Dr.

Brief Answer:
You need a retina examination sir

Detailed Answer:
Hey thanks for the question . They are called floaters sir and are usually seen due to vitreous degeneration which is a normal phenomenon with age .But in some cases they can signify an underlying retinal pathology like a hole or a tear and for that you need a retinal examination . Any retinal hole or tear if found needs to be sealed with a laser so that the retina doesn't detach and vision is preserved aa retina is the main tissue for vision . Hope my answer helps you . Regards
