Thank you for checking bac with me.
It seems like the infection went away with the Clindamyacin. 150mg -every 6 hrs -1 week. Pain went away completely in about 3days and the swelling went away in about 4 days.It has been 12 days now since my last pill and so far it doesn't seem like my infection has come back. If you remember, I had a side affect with what seemed to be possibly letting an aspirin dissolve on my tooth for the pain and then using ORAJEL. My outside left cheek close to my chin went 100% numb and would not regain feeling as did the left half of my outside chin and tip of my tongue and lower lip. (I dissolved the aspirin first on my tooth and about 5 hours later I applied the ORAJEL. The areas mentioned went immediately numb (within 1 min). I did not start to regain feeling anywhere until about 9 days had passed. I have regained about 50% of m yfeeling in those areas. Some days are better than others as it seems to get better and then worse. I think somehow between the aspirin dissolving on my tooth and the the Orajel I had burnd my nerves in that part of my mouth. I also got those skin tags that grew suddenly on the edges of my tongue as well as some extra skin folds now under my tongue with a couple of more long thin skin tags on the bottom side of my tongue.
1) Do you think I will eventually get all my feeling back in my chin, cheek, lip and tongue?
2) Does it sound like somehow I burned my nerve there. I am hoping they grow back.
3)Do you think the extra folds of skin under my tongue and theskin tags under my tongueand along its sides will go away?
Also I have gotten on a much better brushing and flossing routine andhave even bought some dental tools (soft rubber pick, a sharp dental probe and a tool thatlooks like a long probe with a type of abbrasive stone that Ithink is used to sand away tarter. I have also been using Crest Detoxify and Colgate Total. It seems like a little bit of my tarter/calculus is dissapearing. Two weeks ago on the inside of my front lower teeth it seemd like the tarter/calculus went from the top of my teeth all the way down to cover my inner gums. Now I can see quite a bit of those teeth and even see a separation between the gums and calculus. Is it possible the Crest Gum Detoxify toothpaste is actually getting rid of the tarter/calculus. If so is there a danger thetarte/calculus is dissolving into my bloodstream and can do something to my heart or give me an infection elsewhere.Do I run the same risk if I use a dental tool to slowly sand off or pick off some of the tarter/caluculus?

Hiii XXXXXXX first of all thank you for approaching us directly with your query. I am happy that you have improved your condition following our treatment from last query. Based on the present symptoms narrated by you I must say that it will be fine soon.Regarding your present query on numbness, it will be regaining back to sensation within few weeks as the infection has subsided. You have not burnt the nerve, burning nerve can cause complete destruction which doesnt cause the following symptoms. This numbness which has been caused to you is due to infection which has spread to the nerves and once the infection subsides the numbness will slowly go away. Regarding the skin tags nothing to be worried its just the imprints of the teeth gaps in between the teeth(its just normal as it happens for many people). It comes due to reduced water intake also. So please increase your water intake. Stay hydrated. Regarding tartar
I suggest please dont try sharp probes on the teeth to remove tarter it can cause damage to the gums and cause increase in infection resulting in more numbness. Tartar has to be removed by brushing to an extent and beyond that you have to visit a dentist to get it removed professionally by the scaler machine. Please dont try sharp things on the tooth as it can cause more infections and trauma to the gums around the teeth and can even enter the blood stream. The toothpaste and mouthrinse which you have bought can be used regularly.Also do warm salt water gargle regularly. Drink lots and lots of water. Take citrus fruits as it fastens the healing. Besides these stay happy and calm..Dont take much tension.Your condition is improving than before. Hope you understood what I meant. Thank you and have a healthy day. DrRohit

I really appreciate you taking the time. Are you sure the numbness came from the infection. The numbness came within a minute of taking the ORAJEL and remained in the exact same areas. I saw you wrote as the infection subsides the numbness will slowly go away. Does that mean the infection is still in my gums/mouth and will it go away without any further antibiotics. I had finished the 7 days of Clindimyacinon Aprl 22 for the infection and my swelling was gone probably after day 4, the pain was gone after day 3. Only the numbness remained. I will stay away from the sharp instruments around my gums. This may be a dumb question... if it looks like there is tarter on my tooth that one of the instruments can get underneath and pry off, is that ok to do? Or with the probe that has kind of a sanding stone on the end to rub off tarter is that ok? In either case do I risk contanimating my bloodstream? also... I have noticed some hard tarter just breaks off when I brush or floss. Is there a risk with blood contanimation there? or if I swallow the tarter maybe in my sleep. or accidentally? And lastly, so in time do you think the skin tags around my tongue and the long thin skin tags on the underside of my tongue and the extra folds of skin under my tongue on the base of my mouth will disappear in time. If there is no pain why to simply continue with medication (gel).Infection has subsided so it takes time for nerve to get back to normal(nothing to be worried at all).So stop using orajel.It causes numbness.Regarding tarter please dont try to remove it using instruments it can cause harm to your gums. It is no problem if it goes inside while sleeping. Better to get it removed by dentist using scaler. It does enter blood stream if you try to use instruments to remove.
