Question: Hi Dr, i have my leg ankle pain for a month. I have visited physician and ortho dr but they didn%E2%80%99t find prob.i%E2%80%99m suffering with pain and slightly swelling. please suggest which dr i should see. It is getting even more painful day by day. please suggest what type of doctor should i visit.

I can understand your concerns...

Well, if you meant only swelling of the ankle joint, then ideally, you should stick to the Orthopedician only...

In case swelling and pain is not improving despite treatment, then you should get an MRI of the ankle joint and feet done to look into it further...

In case they've already examined the affected area and didn't find any significant problems, then it's better to get the MRI done for further evaluation as well as management (it could be anywhere from bony tissues, to soft tissues as well as ligaments, nerves and vascular pathologies)...However, a few other medical conditions, notably diabetes, gout and nutritional deficiencies need to be ruled out too)...please discuss this with your doctor and proceed further...
