Question: Hi Dr.. my 65 year old mother has this red spot in her genital region.. what can she do about it?

I have seen the attached image. The red spot in the genital region that your mother has seems to be a skin related infection. This can be related to allergic dermatitis also. It is best to avoid itching and dampness in the area. She can use topical 1% hydrocortisone gel and see if it helps. In case there is an itching in the area then she needs oral anti fungal medicines like Oral Itraconazole that needs a prescription by your physician.
