Question: Hi Dr this is XXXXXXX i need ur opinion about my problem left ovary measures 24×17mm. Evidence of large well defined cystic lesion size 165×129×91mm seen in the midline of the abdomen superior to uterous. No septations/solid elements.

Impression:
. Simple left ovarian cyst
. Rest of the visualized abdominal organs sonographically appear normal.

I need ur opinion about in this problem .

Hi,

Thanks for your query.

I have gone through the report attached.

The ovarian cyst is an benign mass. It is not cancer.

It has to be removed before it gets complicated with degeneration or apply pressure on other adjacent organs. Removal of the cyst is by surgery either by laproscopy or open surgery.

The entire affected ovary might be removed leaving the other one intact.
