Question: Hi. Have acquired a bump on my skull Its approximately 1 inch around and protruding almost a 3/8 of an inch in a half dome shape. Its hard and not painful. But it wasn't there a month ago when i had my last haircut. I got a haircut yesterday and noticed it immediately.From the center of my forehead it is straight up about 4 to five inches Looking straight away from myself its located on the right center of my head About 1 1/2 inch from the middle. I have had headaches and lack of good sleep for five weeks or so.

if the lump is bony hard , then it might be from the skull and could be a serious problem. This may need an Xray of the skull at the earliest to get an idea about the site and exact site.

If the lump is not bony hard but moderately hard then it could be arising from the scalp. This could well be a simple tumour or a hematoma due to injury if sustained.

If possible please upload a image of the lump you noticed. I shall have a look and opine better.
