not likely at your age
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Only a small percentage of persons with a history of long standing reflux, develop Barrett's esophagus. Approximately 10 to 15% of persons with GERD develop Barretts.
Barretts is a precursor to cancer but Barretts itself tends to occur in persons age 55 to 65 and twice as commonly in men as women. The risk of Barrett's to cancer is approximately 0.5% a year, this means that 1 out of 200 persons who have Barretts may develop cancer annually.
Barretts is more common at age 55 to 65 because it takes a long time for these changes to occur, it is extremely rare for changes to be seen at your age.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
