Question: Hi, I am a very young and healthy 30 year old woman. I am athletic, but I haven't been able to exercise at all for one year. I have been very busy with nursing school. I have been having the pain that comes directly from my heart. I have been having some chest pain that is very close to my heart. I can barely breathe. I have fatigue since I have been sleeping all day and all night for two weeks. I am just very tired. What could be wrong?

Detailed Answer:
Hello !

Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms are suggestive of local inflammation ( probably costochondritis).

For this reason, I would recommend performing a chest X ray, inflammation tests ( complete blood count, PCR, ESR), coupled with a resting ECG ( just to be sure that everything is OK).

In the meantime, I would recommend taking ibuprofen 400mg three times daily. Warm packs locally and massage can help improve your situation too.

It is important avoiding straining physical activity in the next days.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Wishing all the best
