Brief Answer:
Thoughts cannot be controlled with medicine

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Thoughts cannot be controlled with any medicine. Daxid and other anti-depressants can work for some mental conditions like depression, anxiety etc, can make brain dull and lazy but will not control thoughts.

My suggestions would be to try the following:
- get CT scan of head to rule out any space occupying lesion, check your BP, basic blood tests like complete blood count, fasting blood sugar, thyroid profile, renal function test, liver function test.
- Try sleep hygiene like switching off lights during sleep, avoid any disturbances, avoiding reading any disturbing books, avoid movies news altogether.
- Keep yourself busy with work during day.
- Drink cleaner water and eat healthy vegetarian food
- Yoga alone doesnot help with thoughts. You will need meditation especially breathing based meditation to clear the clutter in mind but it needs to be learnt in a short course. Breathing based meditation like XXXXXXX XXXXXXX is backed by medical research for this purpose https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC0000/

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
