Brief Answer:
For severe/unbearable pain you should be referring to your nearest ER...
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service...
I've gone through your query in detail...
Well, the swelling in the front of the neck, unable to swallow food.talk properly is not really typical of cervical spondylosis...For symptomatic relief, Cervical Collar (e.g. XXXXXXX cervical collar) along with regular neck physiotherapy is usually recommended for mild to moderate pain...
However, as per query, the symptoms seem to be quite severe, so I'd recommend you not to delay any further and inform your treating Neurosurgeon or refer to the nearest ER, make sure someone accompanies you as well (emergency room) for a prompt check-up first...CT-scan of the cervical spine may also be needed for the further assessment...
Avoid twisting the neck, take a mild painkiller like Tab Paracetamol 650mg after some food for some symptomatic relief...Stronger prescription-based painkillers may also be needed based on the clinical examination thereafter...
Don't worry, but don't wait any longer and go ahead for the check-up in the first place...
Take Care
Kind Regards
