Question: Hi, I am looking for a urologist and internist to examine the attached results and let me know how I should proceed. Read the results carefully and some items are high, including protein and glucose in blood work and urine as well.

Note that I had kidney stone and the doctor performed a uterescopy to remove them, I was also diagnosed with acute appendicitis at the same time but was given antibiotics to help fix that (not sure if it did but pain is gone, possibly after kidney stone removal). I am also a Type2 diabetic.

Hi, I uploaded some test results (urine and blood) and a picture of my penis...quick history, I do have type2 diabetes, and was diagnosed with a kidney stone and appendicitis early August, they gave me antibiotics to help the acute appendicitis and did a uterescopy to remove the stones and put a stent in, then 2 weeks ago they did a cystopcopy to remove the stent, I still have a little burning and itching on the inside of my penis, and as you can see a few cuts on the outside foreskin near the urethra and some white substance. What could be causing this? Anything concerning from the reports? How can I help the situation?

Brief Answer:
You have Genital Fungal infection secondary to uncontrolled diabetes

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .

Based on the facts and reports that you have uploaded you have high HbA1C which suggests that your diabetes is not controlled at all .

The photograph of penis reveals Genital Fungal infection which is common when diabetes is not under control .

High level of serum protein and C reactive protein suggest inflammatory process in body However total proteins are slightly higher than normal and has no significance except it suggest infection and inflammation in body .

Rest of the blood indices are well within normal range .

You need to consult qualified Diabetologist and follow his treatment plan in order to keep your diabetes under control.

For genital fungal infection following treatment would help
1) Tab Fluconazole and Augentin twice daily orally
2) Use topical anti fungal cream (Candid cream) twice daily for local application

Ensure to wash your genital with warm water twice daily

Avoid sexual intercourse as it endangers fungal infection being transmitted to your female partner .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up
You have very high level of HbA1c(11) . Taking only Glimepirude will not help to control your diabetes You need to consult qualified Diabetologist for proper evaluations d plan out the treatment as per his advice.

Your Balanitis will get cured only when your diabetes is under control. You need to continue anti fungal drugs prescribed earlier.
