I am suffering from cold and chest congestion.
I am having intermittent fever of 99 which comes and go by itself.
From yesterday night I am suffering from complete loss of smell
It could be COVID-19
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.
Loss of smell is a symptom of ongoing pandemic COVID-19. It means that you should be completely isolated now. Strictly do not physically intermingle with your family or job. Get tested for COVID. Take tab cetrizine. Take Tab amoxiclav 625 mg twice a day for 3-5 days under supervision of a doctor. Tab Neurobion plus to strengthen your nerves. Take warm fluids. stay in ventilated room with attached washroom. Food must be supplied by family outside your door only. Take care of yourself. If further symptoms develop like bad headache, chest pain too much weakness, tingling etc then consider it as emergency.
Do you have any past history of asthma or any other respiratory problem?
Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
