Question: Hi,

I asked this question before and it has dissappeared to my feed due to unknown reasons:
Where can I find information to become an Air Ambulance AIRPLANE pilot? I know there are airplanes out and I am aware of the pilot shortage affecting the U.S. and I wish to learn more about becoming an airplane medical pilot. I am a student pilot currently in high school. I cannot seem to find any information on the matter, however I would still like to know as much as I can.


Note: I am not asking about becoming a helicopter air ambulance pilot, I am only asking about becoming an airplane pilot.

Thanks for the query.
You have to undergo all the training and procedure to get a commercial pilot licence even if you are aiming for career in air ambulance services. You can attend a civilian flight school certified by the FAA and get a pilot licence.
Unfortunately most of the air ambulance services using helicopters and flights are used extremely rare situations.
Most of the major cities offers emergency air ambulance services and you can contact their HR team for placement.
