Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.

I have gone through your query and would like to offer some information.

Firstly, it is not normal to have such a long delay having received two natural periods after stopping the pill.

Secondly, I would like to know if you happened to contact your health care provider regarding this delay and if any tests were done.

Lastly, I would suggest a proper clinical evaluation and a trans-vaginal sonogram for clarification and help plan further management. If this is not possible, at least get a home pregnancy test to exclude/confirm pregnancy.

Hope your query has been answered. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

regards,
Shanti.V.

Hi XXXXXXX

No I haven't gotten any tests done. What tests would you recommend that I get?
Should I wait and see if my period does come in the next month or so?

What could be the possible outcomes of the test?

Brief Answer:
Listing the tests below

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

I would suggest tests for hormone assay, estimation of serum beta-hCG titers, trans-vaginal/pelvic sonogram, blood counts and urinalysis.

These tests help to know your hormone status, any abnormal findings in the abdomen like infections of the pelvis and cysts on the ovaries etc. Pregnancy, of course, can be detected.

I don't think you should wait further to see your period since it's more than four months.

Further management can be planned accordingly.

Hope this helps. Please feel free to contact for further clarifications. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
