Question: Hi I had a miscarriage 4 years ago. I was 10 weeks pregnant went for a scan and baby stopped growing at 5.5 weeks.
I am now ready to try again the only problem being I am 45.
I have regular periods and have had all sorts of hormone blood tests which my GP says are really good for my age.
I have regular periods and no signs of perimenopause.
Can I still conceive naturally?
I have no children and worry I will never be a mum.
My GP says it can happen and seems quite optimistic about it.
If I have conceived before is there a good chance I can conceive naturally again.

Brief Answer:
You have good chances to conceive.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
If you had hormonal tests and everything is normal also having regular cycles it means that you have good chances to conceive.
Even though you had a miscarriage you still have good chances to conceive.
If you want it as soon as possible and also taking count of your age you may consider IVF.
Hope I have answered the question.
