Hi I Had A Nuclear Stress Test Due To Having

Question: Hi I had a nuclear stress test due to having chest pain. This is what the report says and I don't understand it. There is a medium sized fix perfusion abnormality of moderate severity noted involving the mid and basal inferior LV segments. No significant reversibility noted. Diaphragmatic attenuation artifact noted as well. Left ventricular ejection fraction calculated at 60%. TID ratio calculated at 0.99.

What does all of this mean? Is it bad, mild or what? Does it mean I have had a heart attack?

I understand your concern and would explain that these findings are suggestive of myocardial ischemia (insufficient blood supply) in the inferior wall of the left ventricle.

For this reason I would recommend performing coronary angiogram, in order to examine better the blood flow in the coronary arteries.

A cardiac MRI with contrast enhancement would also be able to give more specific findings regarding the presence of myocardial ischemia and the possible damages to the myocardial tissues.
