Hello!

Welcome on - Ask a Doctor - service!

I passed carefully through your concern and would like to explain that first it is necessary to exclude any potential implication of heart failure causing shortness of breath.

In this regard you need to discuss with your attending cardiologist on the possibility of performing a physical examination coupled with cardiac ultrasound test.

If heart failure is excluded, then a possible adverse effect of Brillinta could be suspected. in fact dyspnea may be present in around 15% of patients taking this drug.

If such his the case, a discussion with the prescribing doctor would lead to switching to another anti-platelet drug such as Clopidogrel.

Hope to have been helpful to you!

In case of any further questions, feel free to ask me again.
