Question: Hi, I had skin tags removed using liquid nitrogen and then electrocautery to burn them off that left red scars. Is micro needling along with using retinol cream effective? Are there any risks with using retinol cream with such scars?

Brief Answer:
It can cause redness

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Retinol is known to cause redness and sensitivity of normal skin especially when exposed to sunlight. So it should be applied on affected skin only and stay in dark or indoors. It should not be used during pregnancy.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
