Rest and try NSAIDs for your chest tightness
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question Crazymonkey. Hope I can be of help for you today. Through reading your query I would like to help you with this question. Having chest tightness when you running with no other associated symptoms and your are still young can be not mean that you are having a heart attack. Most of your pain is may be caused by less serious problems, such as muscle pain, heartburn, or anxiety. In this case you may rest from running for a period of time you get better or if not better you can use NSAIDs (anti inflammatory drugs) but make sure than you dont have heartburn from gastritis.
Go to your doctor if your symptoms happens along with shortness of breath, fever, discomfort in other parts of the upper body, including the arm, back, neck, jaw or stomach, feeling dizzy or lightheaded or even fainting...
I hope that can help you, and please let me know if you have any clarification or question about that, and I would be welcome to discuss it with you further. Wish you have good health.
Best regards,
