Hi, I Have A Blistery Rash That Is On My

Question: Hi, I have a blistery rash that is on my inner thighs by my genitals and spreads to right where my buttocks meets my upper thigh. It is very very painful and the blisters seem to be spreading and they are pus filled. I have been covering them with bandages because it hurts very badly when I rub my legs together while I walk and I have been using wound cream on them to hopefully help them heal but it hasn't been working. I initially though it was chaffing but now I think it might be some sort of fungal infection because it isn't going away. Let me know, thank you!
Brief Answer:
Regarding a painful blistery rash
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service.
I have gone through your query and noted your concern.
A blistery rash is unlike a fungal infection.
Moreover, fungal infection is usually itchy. Since pain is your main symptom, it could be either a bacterial skin infection or it could be shingles if it is only on one half of the body. I request you to kindly upload images of the affected area in the "Reports Section" of this web-page so that I am able to have a look and guide you accordingly.
Hope to assist you further once I get the images.
Take care

I attached a picture of the rash. Yeah it definitely doesn't seem to be itchy. It is on both sides of my body (both legs near the inner thigh and buttocks) and so it doesn't seem to be shingles either. So do you think it is a bacterial skin infection? What do you advise I do next? Also, if it is a bacterial skin infection if i touch the rash and then touch other parts of my body can it spread?Thank you for your help!
Brief Answer:
Oral and topical antifungal
Detailed Answer:
Thank you.
I have viewed the images.
It is infact a fungal infection. Perhaps rubbing while walking has made it more sore.
I suggest you to take an oral antifungal e.g either itraconazole or fluconazole for 4 weeks. In addition I suggest you to use a topical antifungal e.g either clotrimazole cream or ketoconazole cream, twice daily for the same duration. These are prescription medication and I advice you to take them under supervision and guidance of your local doctor
Take care.
