Hi! I Have A Large, Itchy, Red Wide Bump On

Question: Hi! I have a large, itchy, red wide bump on my left cheek of my face. I had a job interview today & had to cover it with 'cover up' & several hours later, it got worse. When I came home from work, I washed it immediately & put cortisone on it, but it doesn't seem to get better after 3 hours. I don't have skin allergies & am almost 60. I have to work, serving the public. What can I do? Thanks!

Brief Answer:
It requires Anti inflammatory tablet.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I saw the picture.
The redness could be due to some insect bite.
I prefer an Anti inflammatory tablet to my patients with similar complaints. Ointment will not work.
If there is no response,I add an Antibiotic like Linezolid tablet.
Please consult your doctor and get appropriate prescription.
Nothing to worry. It will come down
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions,I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
