Hi, I Have A Question About My MRI , I
Question: Hi, I have a question about my MRI, I saw some things in some of the frames that don't seem to belong and I believe them to be the source of the swelling in my head and the drastic shape change of my cranium. I have swelling in the very top of my frontal & parietal lobes. There is swelling in the posterior of the occipital lobe, as well as pain in the back of my neck in an area where there is a very hard lump which appeared overnight. I have about 100 neuro symptoms so I won't list them, but would like to attach the several frames I have in question. Thank you for your help.
Brief Answer:
MRI images seem not to justify the swelling head.

Hello and welcome to "Ask a Doctor " service.
I have read your query and here is my advice.
I examined the MRI images that you uploaded.
Your concerns related to swelling of the head are not related with the structures pointed by you in the MRI.
The pointed structures are intracranial and seem normal, these are mainly intracranial vessels.
The changes between sides are related to the head position, the sagital image shows the part of the thickened occipital bone.
So, in conclusion, the MRI images that you uploaded don't justify the swelling of the head.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
