Hi I Have A Question About My Nine Year Old
Question: Hi I have a question about my nine year old son about a month ago he developed a weird tic which consisted mainly of blowing out of his nostrils that seems to have greatly diminished and has been replaced by a strange twitching in his left arm It does not seem to happen in sleep but is worse upon waking or if playing video games also an uptick if nervous There does not seem to be any pain or weakness and he has not been ill recently no colds, strep... I am concerned I have an appointment in two weeks My question is are ticks common should I be overly concerned and try to rush appointment
Brief Answer:
There is no need to rush
Detailed Answer:
Hello... I understand your concern.
This seems to be a recurrent tic disorder and does not look like a neurological emergency. You need not rush and you can wait for the appointment at 2 weeks please.
