I suppose it may be tinea capitis a fungal infection of scalp.
I think you can use antifungal shampoo containing ketoconazole. It is cured with oral antifungals but they are not advisable in pregnancy.
You can also use antifungal ointment to apply over it.

I’m not sure how to attach a picture. Is topical anti fungal safe during pregnancy? Is there a name of a cream to get? Is there a natural way to cure it? Is there a way to prevent it?

Ok I added two pics in reports. Why would this happen? How is it prevented? Is it typically an over abundance of yeast? A vitamin deficiency?

It is caused by tinea, a type of fungus ( there are different types of tinea) and a person is contaminated from objects like combs, or towels of another person. Some types of tinea pass from animals to humans.
Further examinations like microscopy or fluorescence are needed to determine the kind of tinea.
Prevention consists of not sharing personal items and not using contaminated items.
Doesn't seem an overabundance of yeast.
It has nothing to do with vitamin definitely.
I think you should need oral antifungals but can't be taken while pregnant.
