Hi, I Have Around 17 Months Old Son And He
Question: Hi,
I have around 17 months old son and he is having fever since 3rd Oct. It started with mild fever b/w 100-101 on first day and does reach higher around 102-103 on second day with gradually down <100 on third day. We were following Crocin medication at an interval of every six hours (3 times a day) for three days along with forehead sponge (during high fever) and stopped medicine afterwards on 6th Oct afternoon.
However, on 4th day evening - it remains around 99.5 and then XXXXXXX to 101 today morning. He has been extremely uncomfortable and hardly eating except couple of spoons sporadically.
With it's being Sunday, we haven't been able to touch base doctor yet and planning to meet tomorrow morning.
Would you be able to please advise if we can give any medicine today to help out for baby's relief?
Thanks,
Anoop Garg

Brief Answer:
Ibrugesic
Detailed Answer:
If baby is extremely uncomfortable and the fever has crossed 4 days. I would suggest you to consult pediatrician in person.
You can still try giving him 4ml of Syr. Ibrugesic every 8 hourly and continue Syr. Crocin125mg 5 ml every 6 hourly.
Again i would recommend consulting the doctor at the earliest.
Any issue do follow up
Take care.

Thanks for the feedback.
So, should we give both Ibrugesic and Crocin for today until we met the doctor tomorrow morning?
And, would it be safe to give Crocin today (as it's normally not recommended to give beyond three days, unless advised by doctor).
Please guide further to help on this.
