Question: Hi ,
I have been prescribed Topisal Lotion 3% for scalp psoriasis.
How Often and for how long should this be used on my scalp ?
Is it safe to use on my scalp overnight or should I wash out after an hour ?

Hello
Thanks for the query.
Topisal is a combination of clobetasol and salicylic acid.
It needs to be applied and left over scalp overnight.
You don't need to wash it off after an hour.
You can use it till the time all psoriasis lesions are healed.
On complete recovery you can stop using it.
However psoriasis is an incurable disease and hence you might need to again use it in future if required.

Thanks Dr XXXXXXX for your answer . Further to my initial query ..
-is it safe to continue to use till my lesions reduce or should I stop after a few months . Also how often in a week do you recommend i apply the lotion on the scalp ?
- Also could continuous long term use of this lotion result in hair loss ??
