Question: Hi. I have big bump or pimple close to my penis. Wondering if it is cancer?

The area is hard and painful. Specially when it is touched. Should I rub clindamycin 2% on it to reduce infection? What should I do doctor?

Oral and topical antibiotic

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

I suggest you to use an otc topical antibiotic e.g either Neosporin ointment or Mupirocin 2% ointment, twice daily. Clindamycin topical too is fine. In addition I suggest you to take an oral antibiotic e.g either Amoxicillin or Cephalexin for a week. You may also take an otc painkiller e.g ibuprofen to reduce pain and swelling.
