Question: Hi, I have had a thyroid ultrasound done and it has come back with a 32 x 24x20mm nodule in the interpolar region and also a 13 x 11 x 10mm nodule in the lower pole region - also subcentimetre nodlues in the isthmus - what does this mean

Thanks for the query.I understand your concern.
The thyroid nodules are mostly asymptomatoc or can affect thyroid function and become toxic.
You need to get thyroid function tests of blood done and aspiration biopsy of thyroid if needful. Any variation on thyroid hormone need to be treated (by medicines or surgery as per the severity of symptoms)
If there are no symptoms and thyroid levels are normal, you should be relaxed ,and obseve for any changes in future, as few times it can get malignent.
Please consult an Endocrinologist, get it examined, investigated and treated as per need.
Be in periodic contact with the expert to prevent further harm.
