Question: Hi, I have just recieved my results from a CT abdominal and pelvic scan with contrast. Results show trace of left pelvic cavity fluid and an impression of relatively dense left ovarian cyst, possibly haemorrhagic. They have suggested referral to gynae and transabdominal/transvaginal ultrasound, please can you advise if I should be worried?

Brief Answer:
There is no need to worry.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome. I am Dr Ramadevi Wani.
A little amount of fluid in the pelvis is normal finding.

The hemorrhagic cyst is not of a concern. It usually occurs after ovulation. Was this CT done in the third or fourth week of your cycle. The cyst usually redolves. What is the size of the cyst?

It is good to consult Gynecologist and get a transvaginal scan done.

If you have further concerns I will be happy to answer.
