Brief Answer:
Could be either Paraspinal Muscle Spasm or Herpes...

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting the query

After going through the history, I am of the opinion that you be suffering from either paraspinal muscle spasm or Herpes.

You would require a thorough examination by an apt physician to examine the involved dermatome to rule out Herpes. Herpes presents with a rash over the involved dermatome associated with severe burning sensation of that area.

Also, an x-ray of the cervical spine is required to confirm the diagnosis of paraspinal muscle spasm.

Hope this answers your query; I would be available for the follow up queries.
