Question: Hi, I have problem with MS and need to confirm if I take Tecfidera 240 from Biogen or Intas Demythl 240 MG. Which one is better or both are equal.. Having issues with back pain and breathing problems.

I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and would try my best to help you.

Tecfidera by Biogen is the original DIMETHYLFUMARATE, as all the clinical trials have been done with this molecule.

Intas company product Dyfira is the generic biosimilar of Tecfidera. Even though no clinical trials have been done with Intas product, we expect similar efficacy, as it is a bio-similar of Tecfidera.

The main advantage is the cost. Intas product is cheaper as they did not have to spend money on doing clinical trials. Biogen had to spend million of dollars on research of Tecfidera.

Both Tecfidera and Intas Dyfira are approved in XXXXXXX

Why she has back pain she had few problems with her back veins. She was found with focus of this on spine and brain and she has clots in brain too. But for the past few months she had breathing issues when back pain rises. Can we do anything in particular which might reduces her back pain and breathing issues.
