Hi, I Have Redness And A Small White Bump On
Inflammation of the minor salivary gland and the mucosa...
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting the query
According to your description, it seems to be an inflammation of the minor salivary gland and the mucosa of the surrounding area.
Saline gargles may not be beneficial. You can try rinsing the oral cavity using a small dose of mild oral steroids. This helps in relieving the soreness and healing of the mucosa.
Oral prednisolone 5mg (available as a dispersible tab) can be mixed in half a glass of lukewarm water, rinse the oral cavity and swallow. This is for a duration of 3-4 days. It helps in healing the inflammation and reducing the soreness. Drink frequent sips of warm water. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Avoid hot/chilled food & beverages, fizzy drinks, and spicy food.
Hope this answers your query; revert back to me if you have any follow-up queries.

Thank you for your response.
If I dont have access to oral prednisolone is there anything else you can recommend? Or is this a wait and see if it goes away on it's own type of thing? I have also been taking otc medication like ibuprofen and naproxen and it seems to be helping slightly with the discomfort. Also drinking tea a lot to soothe soreness.
