Brief Answer:
the result is negative

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The laboratory result seen first provided information on the type of testing done but according to the interpretation and result- your test was negative, this means that they did not detect the gene.

This is then further qualified because the majority of tests are not 100% accurate, they can be false negatives and false positives . This means that some tests can give a negative result that should actually be positive (this is a false negative result), some tests can give a positive result that is actually negative (false positive result)

Tests are normally rated to see the chances of this occurring- this is referred to as the sensitivity and specificity of a test.

Your results is negative, there were no mutations or abnormalities detected related to CF but they are saying that though it is negative, there is a small small small chance that the result is false negative (this is a very small chance but they have to mention it).

You likely do not have any mutations related to CF

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
