Hi, I Just Switched From 10 Mg Of Celexa To
Can last for a week
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I read your query and understand your concerns.
The unpleasant side effects of celexa including lethargy can last for a week after the medication is started/dose increased. So it is important to wait for that time to settle down the particular side effects. In case the problem is immense and makes you non functional I feel decreasing the dose to 15 mg a day can be of help for a week and after this the dose of 20 mg can be resumed resumed.
In your case it will be helpful to take this medication during night as almost one third individuals find this medication activating and one third find it sedating. The remaining one third report neither sedation nor activation. I mean to say that individual characteristic determine the schedule of celexa.
I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.

Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for follow up.
As communicated earlier it takes around one week to two weeks to settle down G. I related side effects due to use of SSRI including Celexa. So it will be better to wait for that time to settle down these side effects. I like to inform you that above symptoms are often time limited and there is little to worry about them.
The PPIs such as omeprazole 20 mg can be taken to offset these symptoms to a large extent. Other than that diet modification in form of less spicy and avoidance of tea, caffeine, alcohol can also help you.
I hope this answers you further.
Thanks again.
