Brief Answer:
Telmisartan and beta blocker combination

Detailed Answer:
I guess you don't have any leg swellings or facial puffiness.
You may try another combination not containing calcium channel blockers like telmisartan and metoprolol combination. Dose depends on current dosing, like if having amlodipine in dosage of 10 me then need to have Telmisartan 40 mg or else 20 mg.
Anyway, it's better to start with lower dose and further escalate if needed. So may get prescribed, Tab Telarise M (20/25) containing telmisartan 20 mg and metoprolol 25 mg, and later if bp is not controlled then may switch to telmisartan 40 mg and metoprolol 25 mg.
Also, you should get ent check up done to rule out the possibility of allergic rhinitis or sinusitis, which is the also the common cause for nose block.
Hope this help you and get back if you have any doubts.

Hello Doctor,
As advised I started taking Telmisartan-metaprolol 20/25 for last three days.
Have stopped routine amlodipine + betablocker for last four days.
BP shows rise 165/90-95 now and earlier it was 140-145/85-90 regularly.
I spoke to my physician and he advised to take amlodipine for time being in night and 40/25 Telmisartan-Metaprolol in morning.
I am going to start 40/25 tomorrow.
Is it ok ?
Fortunately nose block problems vanished immediately upon stopping of amlodipine-betablocker

Brief Answer:
It's fine

Detailed Answer:
That's great..
Yes, you should start 40/25 mg combination from tomorrow and may have amlodipine whenever bp rises above 140-150. Plan is fine. All the best.
