Question: Hi

I need help and advice with all thus covid 19. Wednesday 25th March I developed a fever and body aches. I have paracetamol they go away and my fever finished after 2/3 days. My body aches are less. In those days I used to cough only 3-4 times in the day I coughed up mucus which is clear but yesterday once it was pink/red mucus but since that I have not coughed at all. I feel better but my anxiety comes on I feel like weak and I keep thinking I have the disease even with less or no symptoms.

Brief Answer:
Not Covid-19

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Since there is no history of contact with Covid-19 positive cases and no history of recent travel to other countries, it is unlikely that your symptoms are due to Covid-19 infection.
You probably had flu and you have almost recovered from it.
If you still have fever and body aches, take Tylenol every 6 hours and drink enough fluids.
I hope that answers your query.
Regards,
Dr.Barani

Brief Answer:
Answer given below

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Fever is the response to infection.
If you no longer have fever, it indicates the immune system has got rid of the infection.
For relief from blocked nose and runny nose, you can do the following-
1. Steam inhalation
2. Instill saline drops in to the nostrils
3. Drink hot soups
4. Drink enough fluids.
