I would like some help understanding these results as my regular doctor has been slow to reply and suggested waiting until August 12th to talk with me. I have an ultrasound scheduled next week due to upper abdominal pain, bloating, gas. I'm currently on the FODMAP diet and taking an OTC antacid to help alleviate symptoms which the doctors believe are due to IBS.
Streptococcus and staphylococcus infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
The urine culture shows that you are having urinary track infection caused by streptococci beta hemolytic, staphylococcus coagulase negative, severe infection of gram positive bacteria.
Taking count of this result of uroculture your urine analysis shows have shown great number of leukocytes but you have written only 5 which can be normal.
You better take a photo of analysis and upload them in reports. You may have even the antibiograme where is shown the list of antibiotics which work on this infection.
Taking count that you have beta hemolytic streptococci and coagulase negative staphylococcus, the best treatment is penicillin, augmentine or cephalosporines.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
