Hi, I Suddenly Became Very Nauseous And Had A Burning
Question: Hi, I suddenly became very nauseous and had a burning feeling in my stomach, constipation turned in into diarrhea and I felt like vomiting. My vision was blurred and it seemed like looking through a glass of water. I became very weak and sweated profusely followed by chills. My left side of lower rib cage is very sore. I did vomit and my left side of lower ribs hurt. Now, I am laying down and just have an upset stomach now. The only thing I ate was at breakfast which was XXXXXXX cereal with chocolate almond milk, which was at least 4 hours prior. I thought I was having a heart attack, but now I am feeling better. Are these signs of a heart attack
Brief Answer:
Most likely acute gastritis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir
Thank you for asking ask a doctor service.
I have gone through your query with diligence. Your problem can be most likely acute gastritis. While heart attack also a person can get similar symptoms due to vagus nerve irritation. So better to rule out that by taking an EKG (ecg) for being on safe side.
Taking proton pump inhibitors like esomeprazole and anti emetics like domperidone will be helpful. Taking lemon tea with ginger also is good.
If not helping then you need to get injections of proton pump inhibitors like pantoperazole and anti emetic like ondansetron. For this you can approach ER.
Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
