Brief Answer:
Mixed disventilatory dysfunction

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome in Ask the Doctor

I saw carefully all the results of PFT you have attached.
It seems that there is probably a moderate mixed disventilatory defect in your airways which means an obstruction combined with a restriction one. DlCO values are slightly impaired and this is a good sign for the lung tissue function.

I saw that you suffer from bronchiectasis.
Despite the results, it is very important to know the actual clinical picture of the patient (cough breathlessness fever) what is the current treatment any comorbidities, in the order I can explain better the situation.

Hope to have been helpful

My cough is not under control anymore for more than 3 month and getting worse last month. I have chest pain all over and my body aches. I have a series of hemoptysis and been in hospital three time out of (7) of them this year. Yet not feeling any better. My mucus usually grows pseudomonas but just repeated it and it was clear for the first time since 6 years? But I don’t get it how!

- I have asthma and Bronchiectasis
- Avascular necrosis from prednisone but no longer using it.

My medications:
symbicort- twice
Nasal spray- twice
Antihistamine- once
Bisolvon- 3times a day
Tamiflu - only for 5 days

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,

Sorry for your situation...

As you explain, your clinical picture seems that the lung damage is ongoing, unfortunately.
Probably the viral infection is one of many causes. You should just continue the current treatment.

Do the flu vaccine in fall every year and pneumococcal vaccine every 5 years to protect you from the superimposed infections.

Try to do airways physiotherapy to clean secretions, drink a lot of water to remain hydrated.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again
Your actual FEV1 value is 51% of predicted and after inhaler of bronchodilator it is 54% of predicted which means no meaningful improvement . Nevertheless I recommend you to continue the treatment and to be close to your treating doctor.
