Question: Hi I was diagnosed with scabies . He prescribed 4 3mg ivermectin tablets for 3 weeks ... is this too much ?

I read your query and here is my advice.

Invermicine is taken for scabies if the treatment with gel or ointment has failed.
The dose should be 200 mcg / kg dose so if you are around 60 kg you may use 4 tablets of 3mg.
It can be taken once at day 1and can be repeated at day 14.
So as a conclusion you are taking the right dosage of medications.
