Question: Hi. . I was on birth control pills for 2 and a half years. . I stopped the pill because I am planning to get pregnant. . the first month after i stopped the pill was fine. . but I didn%E2%82%AC%E2%84%A2t conceive. . in the second month am having intercourse everyday. . but I am experiencibg vaginal dryness. . I wanted to know is it because if lot of intercourse or is there any problem. .

First of all do not panic.

Your symptoms can be due to lack of lubrication, that is naturally produced during sexual activity.
It can happen,if adequate time is not spend on foreplay.

I would like to know about few things in detail.
1.Are you getting pregnant for the first time?
2. Have you started on preconception vitamin supplements?
3. Do you have history of regular menstrual cycle?

Yes, I am getting pregnant for the first time..
I have not started taking vitamin supplements
I have a very regular menstrual cycle.. I even got my first periods(the one after withdrawal bleeding) after stopping the pill..

I have gone through your reply.

As you may be aware that in a woman with regular menstrual cycle, day 10 to 20 of the cycle is the most fertile period of the cycle.
I will suggest you to have unprotected sexual activity in this period at least on alternate days.

Please be relaxed, physically and mentally during sexual activity.
Please indulge enough in foreplay, so as to produce good natural lubrication.
Human saliva ,is safe and best additional lubrication if needed.
This will help you to get rid of dryness issue.

Please start on Folic acid and vitamin B 12 supplements. This helps to prevent various complications during conception and pregnancy and childbirth.

Hi.. I had my last period on 26th oct.. I tested for fertile period on ovulation kit and had intercourse during the same.. Now before 10 days of my periods I am feeling the cramps same as we feel before periods.. I just wanted to know is it because of implantation or it is because of periods...

In my opinion your symptoms can be due to premenstrual syndrome.
Still I will suggest you to wait till your expected date of the cycle.
If you happen to cross your dates, then please get morning's first sample of urine tested for pregnancy. in case of any doubt blood beta HCG test and USG can be done.

Please opt for a healthy diet and regular exercise regime. And start using supplements as suggested.

If you have severe pain, I will suggest use of antispasmodic Tablet like Hyocimax as required.
