Brief Answer:
Probably not going to cause any problems

Detailed Answer:
Hello, I'm Dr. Branch, thanks for using Ask a Doctor. While ingesting large amounts of compost will likely make you sick, a small amount that went up your nose is not likely to cause any problems and I doubt you will notice anything from the small amount you might have ingested. If you do, it will most likely be a stomach or intestinal reaction, making you feel nauseous, stomach upset, and possibly diarrhea. If you do develop vomiting or diarrhea, you should get evaluated by your doctor, but like I said, people probably breathe in compost all the time and I have never had a patient who had a problem from it, and so I wouldn't worry. If you don't have any issues after 24 hours, I would say any risk you had is passed.

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any questions about any of that, and I would be glad to discuss it with you further.
