Question: Hi
I went to a hematologist as suggested by 2 doctors. I have had several infections since January. My lymph nodes swollen over a year. The blood test show low gama globulin and low lga. Is this cancer? Lymphoma? The lga I knew about. I was diagnosed in April 2018 with Selective immunedeficency. Thanks for your help. Will attach tests

Brief Answer:
IGA DEFICIENCY

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking

This is not cancer ,you should not be conceard

Some patients with deficiency (SIgAD) are asymptomatic. However, recent follow-up studies demonstrate that 80% of individuals with IgAD developed symptoms later in their life. Symptomatic patients have a history significant for recurrent otitis media, sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, GI tract infections, severe allergic reaction etc and patient requires avoiding any source of infection.
