Hi. I’m 18 Years Old. My Name Is XXXXXXX And

I woke up yesterday and whole body was very sore from a previous workout the day before. This morning just my right hip flexor was extremely painful and it was spreading to the outside of my right stomach and my lower right side back. I can’t stand up or lay down straight because it hurts so bad.
My worry is that it’s my appendix because it is on my right side or it’s something really wrong with hip flexor. Help please!!
Muscle spasm or sprain likely.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
A sudden workout can cause muscle stiffness and soreness. The pain that you are having is spreading to the lower back also. This is more likely to be related to a muscle spasm. The pain due to appendix is mostly restricted to the right lower quadrant of abdomen.
You can do a hot compress in the painful area and take a mild pain killer or an oral muscle relaxant. This will help in subsiding a muscle sprain or spasm but not a pain due to appendix. The only way to confirm the diagnosis further is by a direct examination and an ultrasound scan of the abdomen. In case the pain is intense and persistent then do consult your physician for proper examination and necessary prescriptions.
I hope this answers your query.
